Bo & Laura

Meet my cousins Bo, Laura and their three very beautiful girls! There are so many cute things about this family. Some men may think that having a house full of girls might be to much but my cousin Bo is amazing with all of them!

One time my husband and I went over to their home for a family gathering and we noticed nail polish on Bo's nails. When we asked him about it he let us know that the girls and him were having some sort of dress up day or something fun like that. He said it like it was nothing, like they play dress up all the time! :) Is that not just the sweetest thing? He is such a good father to his little girls.

There are so many cute stories about this family that would make anyone smile but the point is that they are all so cute together, even while taking their pictures! Their youngest daughter had to have her little elephant Elle (spelling?) in the photos. This little elephant goes everywhere with her and was one of the reasons why I was able to get her to smile for the camera. By saying things like "Why look at how big Elle is smiling!"

It was a hot day and they were one of the last groups to have their pictures taken, I am glad they were still smiling!

Shane & Ericka

It's Monday and I'm excited to post this gorgeous family to start the week off right!
I have just loved showing off how beautiful and fun my dad's side of the family is with these group and individual family pictures!

Today I am posting the family photos of my cousin Shane and his family. Shane is in the U.S. Coast Guard, Ericka is an amazing mom and Malachi is a very handsome and adventurous little boy! It's not often that we get to see these three all together so when we found out they would all be at the reunion we were all beyond excited! It was so much fun catching up with Shane and much more fun getting to see how his little family has grown.

I feel like I have a small tie to this family because a little over year ago Ericka came to visit and needed a babysitter for about a week while she took some classes. My husband and I were very excited to help and got to hang out with their son Malachi for almost a whole week, night and day!! It was the funnest week! We took him on walks, to the park, the community pool, chased ducks and so many more fun things! When the week came to an end we were very surprised to see how sad we were to see him go. Shane and Ericka are raising an amazing little man we had so much fun getting to know him and in turn learning more about his amazing parents!

I am so happy that I was able to take their pictures and I look forward to hanging out with them again soon!

Caleb & Palmyra

Meet Caleb and Palmyra and their three handsome boys! It has been so much fun watching their family grow through the years. Caleb and Palmyra make such a cute couple and even cuter parents. They have very adventurous boys that keep them on their toes but somehow they still manage to keep their cool. It is so much fun watching and learning from them every time I see them. One day I hope to be as cool as they are! :)

I wish I had more time one on one with this family because they were all so picture perfect. The first picture that I put up makes me laugh so hard because it just shows these two little boys personalities and thoughts about taking pictures!

These two cute boys started out like this ... taking pictures on a hot day was the last thing they wanted to do.

... But once I got big brother Alex on my side, it was magic!
(I love little Jakey's face as he looks up to his older brother for what he should do next, so cute!)

Thompson Family

This group makes me smile from ear to ear!! I can't believe how big this family has grown through the years. These are the sweetest people you will ever get the chance to meet and if you already know them, then you can count yourself very blessed!

This day was a hectic and very hot day. My sweet Aunt asked me to take a group photo of her whole family because this was probably the one time they would have everyone together. I am so grateful that I had this opportunity! They are all some of my favorite people and to have them ask me means a lot! I love all of these wonderful people and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Micah & Ahnica

Background Story:
During my trip to California, in July while my husband was traveling for his job, my dads side of the family had their big family reunion!! This has always been something that we look forward to because we get to see all of our cousins and their families.

Every reunion is so special because there is such a strong bond between all of us. We all love catching up with one another because as we have all grown older we have all gone different ways in life. But when we all get together again its like we never skipped a beat!

Family Story:
This year we got to meet one of the newest in the family, Linnea. She is such a sweet adorable little girl with amazing parents and really cute siblings who truly are the life of the party! This family is always full of so many smiles and so much adventure. Micah and Ahnica are the so amazing with their kids it was so much fun to watch and be around them all; and Ahnica is so amazing to have come after just having a baby!! I look up to these two so much! I can't wait to see them all again!

These pictures were taken on a beautiful Sunday morning after we all rolled out of our tents and put on our Sunday best! The pictures were a last minute decision that turned out to be a wonderful way to capture the wonderful feelings and memories from this day!

We decided to take a silly picture! This family cracks me up! Love them!

New Business Cards

Many of you have asked to see my new business cards, so here they are!!

I'm so excited to finally show them off! I have been working for a long time to figure out what I wanted my business cards to look like and after many drafts and lots of trial and error I finally came up with something that I love and that I think is unique, simple and exactly what I want.

As a photographer, business cards are a great way to show off your style and an even better way for people to have a first glance into who they will be hiring. I feel it is important to not rush the process of creating a business card because it's something that will not only show off your brand but it is something that should bring people to you. Your business cards should be something that you are proud to hand to people because they are now a part of you and your business.

So if you don't have business cards yet I would highly recommend getting started on finding your style and creating a business card just for you.

I couldn't be happier with the way mine turned out!

Derek & Paige's Wedding: Part 2 of 2

I am so excited to be sharing Paige and Derek's beautiful wedding day with everyone. These two are so close to my heart not only because they are family but because of who they are and how wonderful they are together.

When I first met Derek my husband and I were pleasantly surprised! He was so sweet and had so many sweet things to say about Paige, you could just see how in love he was with her. This made my husband and I so happy because Paige is like a little sister to us.

Their story is a cute one! Paige and Derek met at school during their freshman year. Derek was the first boy that Paige ever held hands with but they never ended up dating. He ended up leaving for a 2 year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a while after he came home they randomly contacted one another again and things started clicking, it was like magic. They dated for about 3 or so months when one cold winter day Derek took Paige snow shoeing up a mountain and said all the perfect things with the most romantic settings. He handed her a ring-sized box and when she opened it she found a note that said he loved her ... imagine her shock and disappointment. As she turned to give him a hard time about the note she found him on his knee with the ring.

I just love this story because it explains them so well! Derek and Paige are so perfect for each other! Their lives are going to be filled with so much joy and love as they grow together with one another. I am so glad that I was able to share in their beautiful day and I look forward to watching them grow.

Congratulations, again, Derek and Paige! Love you both!
